Basil Joins The Team

Early one morning I was looking out across the road in front of the accommodation to see this puppy walking down the dirt road, with a piece or electrical wire wrapped in a quick noose around his neck. The puppy was in a terrible condition, fir all eaten away and was very flee ridden. I quickly felt for the dog and made an executive decision that we would adopt it and give it a good chance. Most locals thought I was crazy, but one look at his face and I knew it was the correct decision. The only question was what to call it. As we had been watching Faulty Towers the night before, Mats our Swedish archaeologist, suggested Basil. Sorry John Cleese but we named the dog after your famous caricature!
